Yet another package....
...arrived today. You must think I'm shopping like mad, but I've been waiting for this to arrive for two weeks now. Also I suppose I am making a habit out of buying pretty underwear from Agent Provocateur every time they have a sale. Their prices actually aren't that bad then, and I'd rather pay a little extra for quality underwear that also makes me feel like a princess.
So, so beautiful.
On another note, Sam of Daily Fashion Boost interviewed me about my style. Check it out here! Thanks, Sam.
Belly dancer exotic hairstyles
Belly dancing hairstyles depend on different factors. But it is important to try a style long before the event to be sure it works with your face shape, complexion, and hair distinctiveness. For the standard and timeless beauty who nods her head at vintage pin ups, era gamine style may be right up the alley.
Timeless designs such as pin curls and finger waves add a dimension and design to these original homecoming up dos. When paired with wrap dresses, tiered minis or lace case, the vintage gamine style is stylish and spectacularly feminine.

Beads... long overdue!
Beads are a colorful and fun addition to hairstyles. My daughter absolutely LOVES beads. They can be worn by both boys and girls, too.
Beads are put on the ends of braids. I suggest keeping the braids relatively small, although you will have to do trial and error because all kids' hair thickness is different.
In order to put beads in your childs hair, you need a few things: elastics for securing at the ends, beads (of course) and a beader. I get my elastics (the thin ones) at any dollar store. They usually run about $1 for anywhere from 500-1000 elastics. Not bad, eh? Beads can be purchased many many places. I personally get mine from the craft section at Wal-Mart or any hobby store. I got a bead kit of 2300 rainbow colors for about $12 and there are individual packages of around 300 beads in various colors for about $3. My beader i got from an ethnic hair shoppe for .99 - beading is pretty cheap! Here are our supplies:
First, braid your section that you want beaded. Here i have already braided and beaded the back of Jissella's hair so you can see what it will look like, and ill show on the last one my steps:
The last braid, to the far left, is the one im doing. Sorry its so dark in the pic, it was 6am!
Load whatever color pattern you want in your childs hair onto your beader (example above in first pic). The bead at the bottom of the beader will be the bead at the bottom of the braid. String the braid through the loop at the top of the beader:
Push the beads up and onto the braid:
Pull the braid all the way through beads and hold onto the braid at the bottom once the beader is through:
Now the beads should be on the braid, and the beader should be empty:
Securing the beads is hard to explain, but i'll try. Basically, fold the braid over the bead at the bottom, then secure with an elastic. I wrap the end of the braid around the braid itself and slide the beads over it to cover it up. Hope that wasnt too confusing. lol
And once thats done, this is what it should look like:
Here is what it looked like once i had finished her whole head. We picked the colors to match her dress:

Long Hairstyles for Long Faces - Fall Winter 2010 Hairstyles Tips
We would all love to have a beautiful head full of hair. Right now, it seems that there is a wide variety of styles out there. Celebrities are definitely setting the hair and fashion trend. Because there are so many styles out there, it can become hard to choose. In order to narrow down your search, take a look at the shape of your face. Those of you who have a long face, might want to look into having long hair! Take a look and see what you can do to give yourself.
S.J. Parker With Her Long Hair For Long Face Shape
People who have longer faces typically have larger foreheads. If you have a longer face, but you want longer hair, add some bangs. Those who have bangs will be able to cover up that forehead and get you on your way! The main thing that you need to remember with longer styles is you do need to add some variation. You want to be able to have a lot of variety. In this case, try to frame your face. You can do this by adding bangs or even layers!
Layers are great for those looking to shape their face. With longer faces, you do not need to do as much as you would with a round face. Your face already has the shape that is designed for long hair. Long hair works to actually to give the illusion that your face is longer as well as slimmer. Talk to your stylist about what you can do for your long face and how you should wear your long hair!

Exciting package.
I love getting things in pretty packages... it's almost like having a birthday.
Something pretty from Lover was inside.
More precisely this wonderfully gorgeous dress!
(As you can see, I decided to go with larger photos. Most of you said that you preferred the larger ones, and so do I. Frankly, I quite dislike the way my blog looks with smaller pictures - at least on my browser - and I think that has to play a significant part. I hope those of you who had problems with the large pictures aren't too unhappy with this decision!)

Celebrity Hairstyles Hair Color
Celebrity hairstyles have influenced us for thousands of years. Ever since Cleopatra first coined the idea that she could use her hairstyle to enhance her power and fame, women all over the world have mimicked the hairstyles and hair care rituals of the rich and famous in order to try and harness a little of that glory for themselves.
Here is an outline of how to use some of the best quality salon hair care products on the market to replicate and maintain the most popular celebrity hairstyles of recent times: 'The Farrah', 'The Rachel' and 'The Pob'.
The Farrah
Farrah Fawcett's flip was the predecessor of 'The Rachel' of the 1990s, spawning a zillion copycat hairstyles back in the 1970s. Both styles achieved enormous worldwide popularity, though the styles themselves couldn't be more different. Many celebrities have put a modern spin on the Farrah flip, creating backwards-facing curls which are softer than the Charlie's Angels star's original, for a more chic and subdued look.
The initial hairstyle needs to be created in a salon for the best effect; here are some tips for hair care options to maintain The Farrah. Apply a texturizing lotion to wet hair for texture and volume and blow dry the hair upside down from side to side. Use a paddle brush to increase volume and smooth the hair.
Long Hairstyles and Hair Care
Practicing the right hair care is very important! If you have longer hair, you may have to take some extra time and care. If you have a longer hairstyle, here are a few things that you should think about when caring for your hair. The more that you know about hair care, the healthier your hair is going to be!
Washing your hair on a regular basis is vital. Most people, who have long hair, tend to wash it every day or every other day. This all depends on the type of hair that you have. Those who have thick, long hair do not need to wash on a daily basis. If your hair catches a lot of grease and grime, then wash everyday. There is also a wide variety of products that you can look into purchasing as well. Certain products will help lock moisture in your hair. Others will simply add some extra shine to your hair. Make sure that you do not use too many products at once. This could essentially make your hair greasier than it was. If you have any questions about hair care, talk to your stylist. They will give you pointers on how often to trim your hair. Trimming on a regular basis will prevent split ends and damage. Get started right now with the perfect hair care regimen. The more you know about your hair and hair care, the healthier your hair is actually going to be!

Properly Maintaining Your Dreadlocks
Properly Maintaining Your Dreadlocks
Dreadlocks have always been a very popular trend among this generation. Once you finally get to the point to where you have a decent set of dreadlocks, you need to think about maintenance. There are many things that you need to know about taking care of your new dreadlocks.
You need to ensure that you do wash your dreadlocks. Do not wash your dreads more than once a week. Try to find a certain shampoo that will not leave any nasty residue behind. This can cause your dreads to come apart or come loose.
If your dreadlocks are fresh, you need to use rubber bands for the tips. Do this when you are shampooing your hair each week. After you have been maintaining for a few weeks, you can then move on to nylon to tie your dreads. These methods will keep your dreads from coming apart when you are washing your hair.
Keeping your dreads dry is also very important. If you do not dry your dreads completely, you can start to develop mold. To dry them properly, squeeze or shake them out. You might want to use a hair dryer, just to be on the safe side.
Ensure that each dread is tightened. If you notice one beginning to get loose, simply tighten it back up by rolling. You can even apply dreadlock wax to keep everything in place! Once you get the hang of all of this, taking care of your dreadlocks is not going to be a difficult proceses!

HAIRSTYLE TIME WARP: Keep-easy hair
I promised to do the timewarp on Mondays, but in this great summer weather I forgot.
Anyway, here's an ad for Keep-Easy Hair by Kanekalon. Yes, you too can own mushroom hair that says, "I'm hiding in a big brown helmet." Dorothy Hamill, watch out, your competition is out there and ready to shine.
By the way, I love how it looks as if she's wearing a garter around her neck. Yep, nothing says sexy like a hairdo inspired by that guy Russell on Fat Albert.

Cutest Bob for curly hair ever (photo)
I love this bob for women with wavy to curly hair because it doesn't look overdone, just natural, sexy/cute, chic, and sophisticated.
I know the woman in the photo is beautiful, but if you just look at her hair, you can see what a great style this is. Very Anthropologie.
Anyway, I wish I had curlier hair so I could wear this.

Classic style wiht subtle layering/face framing. Demi Moore wear hers hair like this, as does Lisa Ling.
The only concern with his haircut is that if you have a long face, it may over-exaggerate that.
A great style for oval or round faces though.
Very 70's, very hip now as well.

How to Become an Exciting Scene Kid Girl
If you prefer to dye your hair with black, put some neon highlights. If your hair is natural black, you may want to dye it with platinum blonde, purple or pink. Try having bangs; it may suit your lovely face. Mix it with a straight haircut with long or short curls.
If your style is original, you can never go wrong and people will certainly appreciate the way you look. Using clips like kiddie clips or clunky clips are already common. Adopt the style of Hot Topic and Claires where you can get your best choice.
You can adopt them as you wish but it is better to use bobby pins if you can see that this style is already overused in your school. Choose the right kind of dresses you will wear in school and parties.
Scene girls usually wear bright colored t-shirts with names of famous bands printed on them. You will look smart and attractive by wearing animal print skinny jeans, or print leggings under your ripped pants.
If you are fond of brands like Hello Kitty, Invader Zim and Pokemon, you can still wear them but not often because they are now becoming outdated. You can consider wearing Puffy tutus style instead which is the latest trend.

Pink heart buttons and lace.
Do you remember this playsuit that I sew heart buttons on to? Well, a few days ago I wore it, and I absolutely love the way it looks -especially with soft, neutral colours and small hints of pink!
Playsuit; vintage, top; Benetton, tights; Kapp Ahl, shoes by Irregular Choice and umbrella from Kremerhuset.
I also wanted to ask you if you prefer medium sized pictures like these on my blog, or rather larger ones (a few posts down)? Personally I prefer the larger ones as they look the best on my laptop and my browser, but someone alerted me to the fact that they couldn't view the large photos properly. Therefore some feedback on that is much appreciated!
