'We might elope,' reveals Jessica Simpson as she opens up about marriage

She had a big white wedding the first time around, but Jessica Simpson is considering a very different approach to her second nuptials.

The singer and fashion designer, who is engaged to former NFL player Eric Johnson, has revealed she open to the option of a low-key and spontaneous affair.
We've both been married before,' the 30-year-old tells Women's Wear Daily.

'We're enjoying our commitment to each other. We want to take our time.'

She adds: 'We might elope if it gets to that point.'

Her mother Tina, who was present during the interview, was quick to interject, saying: 'But not without telling your mom!'

Simpson has previously hinted that she intends to be married by this Christmas, but is yet to set a date.

Simpson, whose clothing empire is projected to become the first ever celebrity fashion line to earn one billion dollars in annual sales this year, is keen to have a hand in the design of her dress.

'I will be part of designing my own wedding gown,' she says.

The Texas native launched her Jessica Simpson Collection in 2007 and her mother is the co-creative director.

However, she has no plans to mix business with pleasure in her romantic relationship.
