Neither is what I would call GPU-intensive. As a matter of fact GarageBand '11 runs perfectly happilly on my iMac 1.83 Core Duo with a ATI X1600, and my MacBook White with a Intel X3100 - neither of which is remotely powerful compared to the GPU in my 11" Air. The situation is the same with Logic Pro, however the big downside with an Air is the lack of FireWire. If it fits in your workflow then a MBA w 4/8GB RAM should handle GarageBand/Logic Express/Logic Pro just fine (Heck my low-end 11"/1.4/2GB MBA handles Final Cut Pro for basic editing and even Motion 4 at a pinch, so Graphics definitely shouldn't be an issue).

It could mean that, or it could mean they just haven't updated the graphite versions of the buttons/loading bars/etc yet. I would love to see them offer more color options, but I wouldn't be surprised if it ends up being just blue and graphite again. :o
I hope they offer more color options, especially for the sidebar icons. I'm not loving the iTunes 10 UI.

I just saw an article on Cnet News that says the AMD Clawhammer will be released for manufacturers in the first quarter of about the same time as MWSF 2003.

I have this mouse and it is the absoltue best mouse I have ever owned or tried. Very smooth, use on a pad, off a pad, use it from 20 ft away on a hardwood floor (I have tried it!!)
It has a rechargeable battery that lasts forever, is EXTREMELY comfortable in your hand and has a multitude of controls at your fingertips. (scroll wheel up and down as well as left and right, a button that works like the command+tab button feature, etc. All are programable via a system preference. Best of all, it was recognized as soon as I plugged it in.
Can't say enough about it, well worth the $79.

I've learned over time that zooming is really something you shouldn't do often. So many people think they can make amazing videos by zooming in and out all the time when really the zooming just hurts them. The panning and tilting was nice but needs to be much smoother and also I'd recommend not using copyrighted music without the proper permissions.

I think buying an Imac will be one of the best purchases you could ever make. Certainly one that will never forget, once you go mac you will never go back.

I had BEGGED my boss last year to let me go, and the day he approved it, the conference sold out so I was screwed. This year, different boss and it just wasn't in the budget, so AGAIN I didn't get to go. At least this time around I can get all the sessions and content... Now I just have to find a week to watch them all!
Way to go Apple!
Download the standard definition videos and view them on your iPhone!! This is the REASON for iTunes & iTunes U ;) Don't make excuses to limit yourself.
If you drive to work, then hook it up to the speakers in the car and listen to it to give you an idea whats going on.
The labs, and just having 5000 other developers in the same place to discuss things with, have always been the main reasons to go to WWDC in my opinion.
See the competition, learn skills, heck even collaborate on different projects is the bonus!!

It may have something running in the background that prevents the automatic sleeping. Check system prefs, accounts, your account, login items to see if it starts up automatically at login. If it does, select that and click the minus button. You can also check activity monitor to see if there are programs running in the background keeping it awake.
