Friday.

DSC09167

Yesterday, after my boyfriend had finished a test he had dreaded for ages, we drove to Tel Aviv together in order to do something fun together which we had not done in a long time due to him having been studying. I also wanted to look for a sun hat, but I had no luck. I need a big, floppy 70s style sun hat which will keep the sun away from my face completely, but for some strange reason that's something I can't find in Israel. I think I might have to resort to finding it on Ebay...
Nevertheless, we had a lovely day together and bought some delicious macarons to celebrate that my boyfriend is nearly done with his architecture studies.

We got a couple of eclairs for free from the pastry shop, but since I'm not fond of eclairs my boyfriend had both of them

I hope all of you are doing well and having a great weekend.
Oh! I wanted to ask you: How do you feel about bigger pictures? For me they look a lot better on the computers I use, but are all of you able to view them?

(I had to remove the pictures I'd posted of my boyfriend because he didn't like himself in them).

My Hanukkah get-together.

On Friday, I had a small get-together with two of my friends and my sister to celebrate the last day of Hanukkah since I had no time to celebrate it while I was busy writing my thesis.

I made some latkes, which were excellent, and something called sambusak (a sort of turnover that I found the recipe to in a cook book of mine), which also turned out excellent. I wish I'd taken some close up pictures of the food, but I forgot to do that.

I wore my new cardigan from Oasis, with this:

Picnic

Today my little sister and I went on a little picnic together in a pretty meadow full of buttercups.

Blackpool.

DSC05365

Yesterday C. Elizabeth went to Blackpool for a day. We had planned on going to the amusement park there, but we found out in the last minute that it was closed - we thought we'd go today instead then, but it ended up pouring cats and dogs, so no. However we had a nice day strolling along the beach, talking, eating at a café and we were in fact able to take one carousel at one of the piers.

Visiting

DSC05336

I am really enjoying visiting my friend C. Elizabeth in England - I've only been here for three days so far, but we've been having so much fun just chatting, laughing and enjoying each other's company. Unfortunately I've forgotten to take very many pictures so far, so I don't really have that many to share with you.

These are from today while we were in Manchester.

Also, I bought some pretty things today that I thought I'd show you.

Weekend.

I didn't have the time to blog this weekend as my sister came for a visit, which was a lot of fun. We baked pizza, watched movies, went to Malmö for some shopping, went to the cinema, partied, went for walks, had Indian food and looked at pictures. A very pleasant weekend.

I thought I'd share some pictures with you.

In Malmö - I need sunglasses because I can't keep my eyes open when it's so bright.

I also have a question for you. I changed the font on my blog last night, but I can't see it on the computer I am using at work (now), but I could at home on my own computer. Do you see it (a handwriting-like font), or does it look the same as before?

A day with my sister.

Right now I'm sitting at the airport getting ready to continue the second lag of my journey. Today was spent in Oslo visiting my sister, which was really very nice. We had breakfast together, went to the city centre and did some shopping (mostly I did, and I'll show you pictures of my purchases tomorrow maybe), and then had dinner in an Indian restaurant. I can't get enough of Indian food. Though, most of all we chatted lots and lots. There were just endless amounts of things to talk about as we hadn't seen each other in so long (even if we do talk on the phone now and then).

Saturday.

I haven't blogged in a week now, and I feel sort of bad about that. There are, however, several reasons for that... I've been working a lot, I've been ill, and every time I thought of posting something in my blog I had absolutely no clue what to post. Oh well.

On Saturday I went to a fun party (that I unfortunately had to leave early since I had an early morning shift on Sunday), where excellent food was served; Indian food, pies, brownies, and a great punch. I always forget to take pictures, or I feel a little uncomfortable at it if I there are many people I don't know at parties so I don't have any pictures of the food, or much else for that matter. A while into the party I ended up playing scrabble with some people, and I almost won.

This is what I wore:

Vintage teddy bought on Ebay, black skrirt with lace underneath from H&M, white tights from Cubus.

What did you do this weekend?
