Jessica Simpson `honoured` by invite to sing for the troops

Jessica Simpson feels 'honoured' to have been invited to sing for the troops.

The star has been personally asked to perform at a special awareness-raising baseball game by US President Barack Obama's wife Michelle.
The First Lady requested that Simpson sing at the game in Denver, Colorado on Wednesday, April 13, as part of her initiative to recognise American service members.

Simpson told Usmagazine.com: '(The First Lady) asked me to sing for the troops. That's a huge honour for me. Just to be there and show my support and say thank you.'
